Pamela Anderson

A child's first day of preschool can be traumatic for both the parent and the child. It is often the first time that the child spends a significant amount of time away from his or her parents. It also symbolizes an emotional milestone for parents-- that a child is no longer a baby. Pamela Anderson of Watch Me Grow Kids Publishing wrote a book that will help ensure a smooth transition for both parent and child. Featuring wide-eyed happy children and vibrant colors, My New School is not only a fun book to read, it is also a teaching tool for parents and a learning tool for children as they prepare for the first day of preschool.

My New School starts off introducing the child to his or her new school, friends and teachers. Next, the book shows many of the fun learning activities of school. The simple rhyming words make the story easy to recall and the large print makes the words easy for young children to follow. The books ends on an important note. It shows a smiling confident child leaving school with mommy and being hugged by daddy in the comfort of home.

Author Pamela Anderson did not stop with writing a fun and compelling children's book with engaging illustrations. To create an immediate connection between your child and the main character in the book, My New School is printed with boy and girl main characters of Latin, Asian, Black and European descent so that the main character has the same gender and similar ethnic identity as their child.

My New School stands apart from other children’s books in its concept. Child development professionals, educators, and parents agree that children respond better to developmental changes when they are prepared. My New School visually shows your child what to expect in school.

If your child will soon start preschool or daycare, My New School will likely ease the separation anxiety-- even if it is yours!
